Jose Renato Santos, HP Labs

Jose Renato Santos is a senior research scientist at HP Labs. Renato was born and raised in Brazil. He came to the US for his graduate studies and received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA in 1998. He joined HP Labs in 2000, where he is currently a member of the Enterprise Systems and Software Lab. His research interests include virtualization, operating systems, networking, I/O architecture, and performance analysis. He was a key contributor to the developement of XenOprofile, which enables system wide performance profiling in Xen using hardware performance counters. He is currently working on performance analysis and improvements for I/O virtualization in Xen. |
