xen 3.2.0-0xs.fc8 rpms ---------------------- These RPM source and binary packages for Fedora 8 are based on the official Fedora 8 packages of Xen 3.1. They have been lightly tested and appear to work. However, these packages are intended as a base for distributions to work with and secondarily as a preview or interim version for users. Xen.Org (and XenSource) do not intend to release security patches for these versions, if and when it is necessary for users to update their Xen installations. Additionally these packages have undergone only limited source code review and testing. These binary packages should therefore be approached with caution and should not be relied on for extended production use. Sophisticated end-users should, whereever possible, use the unpatched Xen 3.2 sources directly. Those sources have been tested more thoroughly and have more traceable and reliable contents (due to the absence of distribution-specific patches). Binary packages with full security support, suitable for full long-term production use, should be available soon from your operating system supplier in the usual way. As always, we are keen to reduce the divergence between distribution-specific packages and Xen.Org upstream versions and encourage vendors to participate in the upstream development process. The set of binary packages is the same as that provided by the Fedora 8 packages for Xen 3.1: xen-3.2.0-0xs.fc8.src.rpm source xen-3.2.0-0xs.fc8.i386.rpm hypervisor and management tools xen-libs-3.2.0-0xs.fc8.i386.rpm support libraries (required) xen-devel-3.2.0-0xs.fc8.i386.rpm development tools } optional xen-debuginfo-3.2.0-0xs.fc8.i386.rpm debugging information } After installation of the binary packages, some adjustment to the bootloader (grub) configuration will probably be necessary.
